Arizona will hold its State Primary for US congressional and state legislative positions on July 30. Click here for the full 2024 election calendar.

Registration
- To vote in state, county, and local elections, you must submit a valid proof of citizenship with your registration form. If you do not submit proof of citizenship, you will be eligible to vote only for federal offices and not the full ballot, until you provide a valid proof of citizenship to your County Recorder's office. Click here for more information about Arizona's proof of citizenship requirements.
- July 1 is the last day to register for the July 30 State Primary.
- A mailed paper registration form is deemed to be received in time for an election if 1) the form is dated on or before the voter registration deadline and received by your county election official within five calendar days after the voter registration deadline, or 2) if the form is postmarked on or before the voter registration deadline and received by your county election official by 7 pm on Election Day.

Absentee / Vote-by-Mail Ballots
- Arizona maintains an Active Early Voting List (AEVL). Voters on the list are automatically sent a ballot-by-mail for all elections in which they are eligible to vote. You can sign up for the list when you register to vote, or you can update your registration to get on the AEVL. You can also download the ballot-by-mail & active early voting list request form and submit your request by mail.
- There is no deadline to sign up for the AEVL, but to get a ballot-by-mail for an upcoming election, you must sign up at least 11 days before Election Day.
- If you do not want to sign up for the AEVL, you can request a one-time ballot-by-mail online, download a form to submit your request by mail, or call your county election office. Your ballot request must be received by 5 pm on Friday, July 19, for the State Primary.
- Ballot Return Deadline: Completed ballots must be received by your county election official or at a drop-off location by 7 pm on Election Day. The USPS recommends mailing your ballot back at least 7 days before Election Day.
- Ballot Status: Track the status of your absentee ballot here.

Early Voting
Wednesday, July 3, through Friday, July 26, is the early voting period for the July 30 State Primary. Check your county election office for your early voting times, and locations.
