Step 1: Register to Vote
Click the button above to register online. If you are unable to register online, download and print the voter registration form or ask your county election official to mail a form to you. Follow the instructions and return it to your county election office.
Vote-by-mail options are only available for those who meet specific requirements, such as work schedule, absence from the county on Election Day, or immobility due to advanced age or physical disability. Click above to review Alabama’s eligibility requirements for voting absentee. If you are eligible, download the form for your county, fill it out, and return it to your Absentee Election Manager’s office.
Arizona will hold its Presidential Preference Primary Election on March 19, 2024. Primaries for Congressional and other elected positions will be held on August 6, 2024. Click here for the full 2024 election calendar.
Registration
– In order to vote in all federal, state, county, and local elections for which you are eligible, you must submit a valid proof of citizenship with your registration form. If you do not submit proof of citizenship, you will be eligible to vote only for federal offices and not the full ballot until you provide a valid proof of citizenship to your County Recorder’s office. Click here for more information on Arizona voter registration requirements.
– February 19 is the last day to register for the March 19 Primary.
– A mailed paper registration form is deemed to be received in time for an election if 1) the form is dated on or before the voter registration deadline and received by your county election official within five calendar days after the voter registration deadline, or 2) if the form is postmarked on or before the voter registration deadline and received by your county election official by 7 pm on Election Day.
Absentee / Vote-by-Mail Ballots
– Arizona maintains an Active Early Voting List (AEVL). Voters on the list are automatically sent a ballot-by-mail for all elections in which they are eligible to vote. You can sign up for the list when you register or you can update your registration to get on the AEVL. You can also download a form to submit your request by mail.
– There is no deadline to sign up for the AEVL, but to get a ballot-by-mail for an upcoming election you must sign up at least 11 days before Election Day.
– If you do not want to sign up for the AEVL, you can request a one-time ballot-by-mail online, download a form to submit your request by mail, or call your county election office. Your ballot request must be received by 5 pm on March 8, for the March 19 Primary.
– Ballot Return Deadline: Completed ballots must be received by your county election official or at a drop-off location by 7 pm on Election Day. The USPS recommends mailing your ballot back at least 7 days before Election Day.
– Ballot Status: Track the status of your absentee ballot here.
Early Voting
– Friday, March 15, to Monday, March 18, is the early voting period for the March 19 election. Check your county election office for your early voting times, and locations.
